One decade, no exceptions. 80's ANTHEMS! play nothing but the big keyboard and guitar pop hits of the 1980s: Whitney Houston, Bon Jovi, WHAM!, Cyndi Lauper, Culture Club, Queen, Come On Eileen and the rest of that near-endless run of mega-hits. Spandex and glitter tops are part of the deal. The Gold Coast band arrives fully self-sufficient with all its own sound and lighting, and doesn't need a stage, though a performance area of roughly 12 by 8 feet is preferred. The booking flexes to your night: add sax, extra singers or a brass section, book an earlier arrival, or open with a calmer cocktail set before the dance floor takes over. They also know how to work within council noise limits.

Good to know
What to expect
Spandex, glitter tops and a straight run at the decade's biggest songs. 80's ANTHEMS! rebuild the keyboard and guitar pop of that decade. Whitney Houston and Cyndi Lauper. Bon Jovi and Bryan Adams. Culture Club, Queen, Dead Or Alive, Toni Basil, The Proclaimers, Dexy's Midnight Runners, and George Michael's WHAM years. That is barely scratching what is in the pile. The songs are chosen for one reason, which is that everyone in your room already knows them. Party crowds and corporate guests get treated to the same thing: the soundtrack to a decade, played loud, with the costumes to match.
On the day
The band turns up self-sufficient. All sound and lighting comes with them, so a full live show runs without you sourcing production or hiring a rig. A stage isn't required, though any band plays better on one and it's worth using if your venue has it. The preferred performance area is around 12 feet by 8, and they'll gladly take more room if there's more going.
Set List
It's all 80s, and the list is long. The Australian side alone covers Cold Chisel with Cheap Wine, Flame Trees and Forever Now, Icehouse with Electric Blue and Great Southern Land, INXS with New Sensation, Men At Work with Down Under, Mondo Rock with Come Said The Boy, Dragon with Are You Old Enough, Crowded House with Something So Strong, Paul Kelly with Before Too Long and The Divinyls with I Touch Myself. Then the international end: Come On Eileen by Dexy's Midnight Runners, Faith and Wake Me Up Before You Go Go by George Michael, Eye Of The Tiger by Survivor, Footloose by Kenny Loggins, Ghostbusters by Ray Parker Jr, Don't Stop Believing by Journey, Video Killed The Radio Star by The Buggles, I Love Rock N Roll by Joan Jett, My Sharona by The Knack, Crazy Little Thing Called Love by Queen, Born To Run by Bruce Springsteen, Summer Of '69 by Bryan Adams, Bat Out Of Hell by Meat Loaf, What's Up by 4 Non Blondes, Blame It On The Boogie by The Jackson 5, Heartache Tonight by The Eagles and I'm So Excited by The Pointer Sisters, plus Is This Love and Stir It Up by Bob Marley and The Wailers.
Performance options
Nothing about the booking is locked. Extra musicians can join the line-up, whether that's a saxophone, more singers or a brass section. They normally load in at 6pm, and will start earlier when the room has to be ready before that. They'll also change what kind of band they are on the night: a straight dance floor party set, or a cocktail set or two first for a more relaxed, dressed-up start. Every event is different, so tell them what yours needs and they'll put options in front of you.
