The act
Ask most MCs what they actually do on a wedding day and the answer gets vague. Andrew Silverwood's doesn't: he meets the couple a couple of months out to talk through every detail, arrives early suited and booted, helps direct your loved ones around, and calls out names during photos so nobody's uncle wanders off. As a stand-up he delivers timed sets built on relatable stories, observations and a bit of audience interaction, anywhere from five minutes to hosting your whole day, kept clean or less so depending on the room. The Perth comedian carries public liability insurance, including aerials and circus work, plus a Working With Children Check. All you need to provide is a microphone, preferably with a stand.

Andrew turns up ahead of time, checks the microphone works, and waits until the room has settled before starting. From there it depends what you booked him for. A comedy spot means a timed set of stories, observations and a bit of back and forth with the crowd. Booked as a wedding MC, the work starts months earlier with a meeting to walk through your day. On the day he arrives early and suited, points your family where they need to be, calls names out during photos so nobody drifts off, introduces you at the reception, sets the room up for speeches, announces the first dance and lets everyone know when the cake is happening.
On the day
Put a microphone in his hand and he'll handle everything else. A stand is preferred, mostly so he isn't holding it through a whole set. That's genuinely the extent of it.
