Apollo Strings
The act
Apollo Strings are a Sydney string quartet, and weddings are the bulk of their diary. Award nights, corporate functions, concerts and recitals fill the rest. Their playing covers more ground than you'd expect from four strings: upbeat world music, cool jazz, tango and Latin sit alongside the classical pieces. The line up flexes too, from the traditional quartet down to a guitar and violin duo. On wedding days they'll usually start about fifteen minutes before the bride walks, carry through the ceremony and into drinks. A civil ceremony tends to run under an hour, a religious service closer to an hour and a half. Got a song that matters to you? They'll arrange it.
