Benn Allen covers a wedding day from both sides of the desk: acoustic guitar and vocals live, then DJ decks later, with hosting in between if you want it. He works out of Kiama and builds the playlist around what the couple actually listen to, pulling from pop, rock, R&B, hip-hop, dance and country. The songbook is deep on the acoustic side too, running through Australian standards like Flame Trees, Great Southern Land, Don't Change and Bow River alongside Brown Eyed Girl, Fast Car and Hotel California. Sound, microphones and lighting all come with him, and he holds current public liability insurance.

What to expect
The set gets built around what you actually listen to, not around a standard wedding list. Benn works across pop, rock, R and B, hip hop, dance and country, and the atmosphere you describe is what steers the choices. So a couple who want the ceremony quiet and the reception loud get exactly that, and it's the same person managing both ends of it.
On the day
Benn brings the sound system, the microphones and the lighting himself, so there's nothing to hire and no second supplier to coordinate. The audio and the lighting are matched to wedding venues rather than being pub gear pressed into service.
Performance options
Four wedding options, each building on the last. The first is the ceremony: twenty minutes of background music as guests arrive, then live music for the entry, the signing of the register and something upbeat on the way out. The second adds an hour of live music through canapes and pre dinner drinks. The third adds two 40 minute sets during the reception dinner, arranged around the entry, the cake and the speeches. The fourth adds DJing once the formalities are done, so the same person carries the night from ceremony through to the last dance. Sound and lighting are included throughout, and requests from the repertoire are welcome. Any of them can be adjusted to suit the day.
