The act
A big rustic voice, an acoustic, a stomp box and a microphone. That's Big Fella Linc, a Gold Coast singer-songwriter with more than twenty five years on the local scene, from his mid-nineties band Finkler through to solo residencies across the coast. He takes classics and the odd left-of-centre choice and sings them like he means them, working across roots and reggae, blues and rock, folk, top 40, Aussie material and a decent handful of Irish tunes. He's also released several albums of his own material. Between sets he keeps music running from a deep archive spanning the sixties to now. Turns up self-sufficient with his own sound and lighting, needs a power point within about twenty feet and two metres square, and can bring a marquee if you're outdoors. Fully insured for public liability.

Good to know
What to expect
Smooth acoustic music from someone who has been doing it for a long time and turns up ready. Linc brings his own sound and lighting and sets up a proper stage look rather than standing in a corner with an amp. Between sets, before the guests arrive and after the last song, recorded music keeps running from an archive that goes from sixties pop and rock through reggae and country to current material. So there's no dead air at either end of the night. He's fully insured, and the admin side is straightforward.
On the day
A standard powerpoint within about 20 feet, and a two metre by two metre patch to stand in. That's the whole list. If you're outdoors and there's no cover, he can bring a marquee, so a bit of sun or a passing shower doesn't end the set. Worth mentioning the surface when you enquire.
