Sydney jazz, sized to the room. Blue Velvet Jazz work as a duo of female vocal and piano, and scale up through trio, quartet, quintet and sextet by adding guitar, double bass, drums and saxophone. Purely instrumental line-ups are available too. The songbook is the real thing: Fly Me To The Moon, Besame Mucho, Cheek To Cheek, Girl from Ipanema, It Don't Mean A Thing, Feelin' Good, plus Beatles numbers like Day Tripper for a lighter turn. They've played the Sydney Opera House, Kirribilli House and the Art Gallery of NSW, and also boutique breweries, CBD offices and private homes. Sound and basic lighting come with them. Outdoors only under full cover. Public liability and indemnity insured.

Good to know
On the day
Sound and basic lighting come with the band, so there's no production for you to organise. What they need from your venue is simple: enough room for the line-up you've booked, and easy access to power near where they're playing. One firm condition on outdoor bookings, and it's about the instruments as much as the players. They'll only perform outside if there's full cover overhead.
Performance options
Five sizes, each one adding an instrument. The duo is female vocal and piano. The trio adds either guitar or double bass. A quartet is vocal, piano, guitar and double bass, the quintet brings in drums, and the sextet adds saxophone on top of that. Purely instrumental versions are available across the range if you'd rather have no vocal, and larger ensembles can be arranged. Which one you want mostly comes down to the size of the room and whether people are meant to be listening or talking over it.
