Two names, one crew of Melbourne musicians. BONSAI is the trio, BOUNCE is the full band, and the material runs from the 1960s through to the 2010s. They lean into laid back dinner music early, then push into 60s to 80s party songs and pub classics once people are up. Requests and singalongs are encouraged rather than tolerated, and they'll learn a specific song for your wedding or event at no extra cost, within reason. Weddings and private functions are the bread and butter, with pubs and events alongside. They ask for cover where it's needed, easy access to power and 90 minutes to load in.

What to expect
Same musicians, two sizes. BONSAI is the trio, BOUNCE is the full band, and both come out of the Melbourne cover band world with more than ten years of gigs behind them, over a thousand shows between them. Members have played in NITRO, HIGHRISE and THE EGO HAS LANDED. What they're actually good at is reading which night they've walked into. Want quiet dinner music? That's fine. Want the room dancing? Also fine, and they'll push for it. Requests and singalongs are welcomed rather than endured, and the songlist is deep enough that most requests land.
On the day
Cover over the band where the weather or the venue calls for it, easy access to power, and 90 minutes minimum to load in and set up. Give them the full hour and a half rather than squeezing it, especially if the gear has to come up stairs or across a lawn.
Set List
The songlist runs from the 1960s to the 2010s and keeps growing. Laid back dinner music is one specialty, party music the other, particularly the 60s through 80s material that gets people dancing, plus the pub classics everybody knows the words to. And if there's a specific song you want for your wedding or event, they'll learn it for you at no extra cost, within reason.
Performance options
Two sizes to choose between: the trio, or the full band. Wedding bookings can cover the reception on its own, or the ceremony and reception together where both are at the same venue. Private functions, events and pub gigs are booked separately and worked out with you.
