Nineteen years of running kids' parties teaches you exactly what a room full of seven year olds needs. Bop till you Drop is a Sydney children's entertainment company running structured, age-tailored parties: disco and karaoke, slime and science, sport and park themes, photo booths, even a stretch hummer disco. Their disco puts the birthday child front and centre while the entertainer teaches dance moves, kids sing on real microphones and request songs, and games, prizes and tattoos fill the food break. The company brings the PA, disco lights and microphones, and works birthdays, christenings, preschools, primary schools, vacation care and OSHC programs. They hold public liability cover, a working with children check for every entertainer, and a PPCA licence for the music.

What to expect
Every party runs to a structure, and that structure gets tailored to the age of the kids in the room. Take the Disco and Karaoke package: the children spend the whole thing being pop stars. The birthday child is the centre of it and gets made a proper fuss of. The entertainer teaches funky dance moves, the kids sing into real microphones and can request the songs they want, and team building games run through the middle with prizes handed out for the best dancers. There's a 10 to 15 minute break for food, and while everyone eats, the entertainer puts tattoos on each guest. That timing shifts a bit depending on how many children are there.
On the day
They come with the lot: a professional entertainer, PA system, disco lights, a cordless mic for the entertainer and microphones for the children. Music covers current top 40, classics and preschool favourites for the younger ones, and requests are welcome. Tattoos and lolly prizes are included, with other prizes available as an extra. From you, all they need is access to power and a small table to set up on. Packages vary, so it's worth asking about yours.
