What to expect
Guitar, vocals, percussion, a stomp box and a bit of ukulele, which is more sound than two people usually manage. Singalong covers are the thing they do best, and the range goes from easy listening in the background right up to songs that pull a whole room onto the floor. You can pick specific songs off the list yourself, or just describe the vibe you're after and let them put the sets together. Between sets there's recorded music playing, so the room never falls into that awkward quiet. They bring all their own equipment including the PA, and if there are speeches on your run sheet, the PA and microphone are yours to use.
On the day
An hour before the event starts to set up and sound check. Access to power for the PA, and somewhere to park. If there's anything unusual about the venue, tell them beforehand: loading in from a side street, no parking nearby, tag and test requirements, that sort of thing.
Set List
Around fifty songs, weighted towards singalong covers. The soul and standards side brings At Last, Ain't Nobody, Isn't She Lovely, Don't Know Why, Mercy and Make You Feel My Love. Fleetwood Mac get four on their own with Dreams, Go Your Own Way, Landslide and Rhiannon. Ed Sheeran turns up with Perfect, Photograph and The A Team. There's a run of Australian material: Fallin', Buses & Trains, Better Be Home Soon, Am I Not Pretty Enough, Riptide and Fire and the Flood. Then the party half of it: Dancing Queen, I Wanna Dance With Somebody, Girls Just Want to Have Fun, Hit Me With Your Best Shot, Proud Mary, Nutbush City Limits, All About That Bass, Man I Feel Like a Woman, Price Tag, Ex's & Oh's and Rolling in the Deep. Performance options
Ambient music for a wedding day or singalong sets for a party, and they'll shape it either way. Depending on what you negotiate, a booking can include a meeting to talk through the event, the PA system and lighting, use of that PA for speeches and MC duties, and however many sets you need, spread across a longer window if speeches and formalities need room to breathe. You also get background music of your choice between sets, special song requests, and your own picks from their song list. For weddings that extends to entrance, first dance and departure songs. Travel to and from the venue, plus setup and sound check beforehand, are part of it.
