The act
Adelaide's Matt McQuinley covers two jobs: keynote speaking and MC work. As a speaker he draws on more than 30 years of business and leadership experience, talking on communication, confidence and performing under pressure, always angled at what an audience can actually apply. As an MC he's the organised kind. He works from your run sheet, learns who the VIPs are, writes proper introductions and keeps the day moving. Talk topics include the psychology of influence, leading through chaos and building teams people want to follow. Insurance, police clearances and working with children checks can all be provided where an event needs them.

Good to know
What to expect
Matt speaks to the practical end of business life: how you communicate, how you hold your nerve, how a team performs when the pressure is on. He's spent decades in leadership and sales roles across a few countries, and the stories come from that rather than from a textbook. So the tone is energetic without being a rah-rah motivational act. What your people should walk out with is a handful of things they can genuinely use on Monday, not a nice feeling that fades by the carpark.
On the day
Matt likes to work off your run sheet before the day, so send through the timings and whatever the key messages are. Just as useful: who else is speaking, who's hosting, and which VIPs are in the room. That's what he uses to write introductions that actually land and set people up properly. On site he'd rather have a quick audio check and a walk through the venue than turn up cold.
Set List
Six talks, covering much the same ground each time but angled differently. High performance when the pressure is on. Confidence as a way of winning client trust. Leadership that turns a chaotic situation into a clear one, and the flipside of that, turning adversity into something a team gets stronger from. There's also a session on the psychology of influence and impact, and one on building teams that people actually want to follow. Pick the one that fits your theme and Matt shapes it from there.
Performance options
Three ways to book him. The keynote is the standard conference slot: a tailored message built around your event theme, clear takeaways, moments where the audience gets involved, and a Q and A if you want one. The MC and host option covers the whole program, with proper speaker introductions, coordination with your AV crew and transitions handled so nothing stalls. Then there's the workshop, which is the interactive one: a custom agenda, real scenarios worked through live, coaching on the spot, and the option of a follow up session. Good for leadership retreats, sales teams and staff development days.
