The act
Claire Evelynn travels with more than one harp, choosing the instrument to suit the occasion. Based on the Sunshine Coast, she's a harpist and songwriter who plays flowing instrumental sets, classical, Celtic, medieval and popular pieces, alongside her own original Celtic songs. The practical side is well drilled: a battery powered amp means no power lead, she plays indoors or out, brings her own shelter if the weather threatens, and arrives an hour before start time. She'll even match her dress colour to the look of your event. Weddings are a specialty, from guest arrival through ceremony and canapes, and she also plays high teas, bridal showers and festivals.

Good to know
What to expect
Claire arrives on time, plays beautifully and is easy to have around, which covers most of what a host actually worries about. The music is flowing and ambient, and she carries several harps so the instrument can be chosen to suit the occasion, each one warm toned with a lot of resonance. There's even a wardrobe consideration: she has dresses in a range of colours and will pick one that works with how your event looks.
On the day
No power lead required, since the amp runs on battery. Claire sets up on her own and plays indoors or outdoors either way. The harp does need shelter from harsh sun, wind and rain, and she can bring her own if the spot is exposed. She arrives an hour ahead of the start so everything is ready well before guests are.
Set List
Classical, popular, Celtic and medieval pieces make up most of it, with soothing instrumental music through the quieter stretches, and her own original Celtic songs woven in. The repertoire gets shaped around the occasion, whether that's a wedding, an anniversary, an engagement, a birthday, a high tea, a bridal shower or a festival. Tell her what you're picturing and she'll work towards it.
Performance options
Weddings get a package covering the whole run of the day's front half: 30 to 45 minutes of ambient harp as guests arrive, the ceremony music, the signing afterwards, and canapes. Event packages come in 30 minute, one hour, two hour and three hour lengths. For festivals there's a package that includes sound immersion workshops.
