Flame Trees, Khe Sanh, Dumb Things, Better Be Home Soon. Chris Edwards works Toowoomba and around as a solo guitarist and singer, with a list that runs from Australian Crawl and Cold Chisel through Van Morrison, Pearl Jam, the Beatles and the Foo Fighters. He supplies all the sound and lighting, and in most cases only needs one normal power point near the performance area. Tell him roughly how many guests you expect and he'll size the rig to match, whether that's a small stage or a large one. He also fronts the band Wheelhouse Deluxe, and duo and trio versions are available. Fully insured for public liability.

Good to know
What to expect
One bloke, a guitar and a voice, and a set built around songs a Toowoomba room already knows. Chris Edwards leans on the Australian catalogue and the classic rock that sits next to it, so the first bracket tends to settle people while they eat and the later ones lift. He'll take the mood from you rather than run the same night twice. Small backyard gathering, a wedding, a work function: the songs shift, the sound stays warm and unfussy.
On the day
Sound and lighting both come with Chris, so there's nothing for you to hire. Give him a rough guest number when you enquire and he'll bring the right amount of gear for the room instead of over or under doing it. Power is simple: one normal outlet within easy reach of where he's playing usually covers it. Stage size isn't fussy either. He'll shape the set up around a corner of a function room or a proper stage.
Performance options
Solo is the standard booking, and Chris can also come as a duo or trio if you want a fuller sound. There's a full band option beyond that. Tell him the room, the guest count and the sort of night you're picturing, and he'll suggest which line-up fits.
