The act
Christian Elderfield has headlined for festivals, cruise ships and corporates, and the crowd work is where he's strongest. Quick wit, long stories told well, sharp observations, and material he can pitch clean without losing the edge. Simon Cowell called him very funny. The Age called him polished and edgy. He works ages 24 through to 65 and over, and reads equally well to Australian and UK audiences. Based in Surry Hills. Stand up sets run from 10 to 45 minutes, or he'll MC your whole night. All he needs is a microphone and decent lighting. Working with Children check held.

Good to know
What to expect
Clean, but not soft. Christian Elderfield gets the laughs without reaching for bad language, which is why he keeps getting booked for rooms where a swearing set would land badly. What you get is warmth and energy from the second he's on the mic, plus the people skills that make him easy to hand a night over to. He reads a crowd fast. And if something happens in the room, he'll use it rather than push on through his notes.
On the day
Barely anything. A microphone and decent lighting on him is the whole list. There's no gear to load in, no sound check to schedule around your run sheet, and nothing that needs a stage bigger than a spot to stand. If the venue already runs a PA for speeches, you're set.
Performance options
Two ways to use him. He'll MC the whole night, holding the run sheet together and keeping things moving between courses and speeches. Or he'll do a stand up set on its own, anywhere from ten minutes up to a full 45, depending on how much room your night has for it.
