No metal, no grunge, no thrash, no jazz. Covers in the Corner have decided what they are, and it's mainstream feel-good music people can actually dance to: Fleetwood Mac, Creedence, ABBA, Queen, Robert Palmer, Johnny Cash, Divinyls, Pat Benatar, Renee Geyer, The Corrs. Classic rock and 70s material sits at the centre, with wedding and corporate work in the mix. They describe themselves as responsible adults who value reliability, and they like sorting the logistics early so nothing surprises anyone on the night. Bring your own PA or use theirs. There's a banner they'd love to hang behind the drummer, and no hard feelings if the room can't take it. Outdoor shows need proper cover.

Good to know
What to expect
Dancing, provided you've invited enough people to fill the floor. Covers in the Corner are grown-ups about the admin side, and a fair bit of the planning gets handled while the quote is still being worked out, so by the time the date arrives the details are already settled. Anything left over gets nailed down between you and the band after you've booked. It's a low-drama way to run a night. You won't be chasing anyone for answers in the last week.
On the day
How long the pack-in takes comes down to two things: how easy the venue is to get into, and whether the PA is theirs or yours. Parking on site is ideal, but a spot to unload with parking nearby will do. No console or speakers? They'll bring the lot, just allow extra time either side. Outdoors means a properly covered performance area and safe power, two supplies if you can manage it, one each side of the stage. Cover the mixing desk too, since it usually sits out front. AV crews get a stage plot with the input list.
