Around 285 songs sit in this band's back pocket, drawn from the 70s through to the 2010s: Matchbox 20, Toto, U2, AC/DC, Eagles, The Angels, Green Day, Pearl Jam, Midnight Oil, Australian Crawl, Violent Femmes. Creatures of Habit have shared stages with Jimmy Barnes, The Angels and Stevie Wright of The Easybeats, and headlined the Virgin Blue Christmas party for Richard Branson. Sets come in twos, threes or fours across matching hours, roughly 50 minutes each with a short break between, and requests get played if they know them. Ask nicely and they'll learn one for the night. They carry three separate PA systems sized for small, medium and large rooms, plus stage lighting and a sound meter for venues with noise limits. Setup and sound check takes about two hours. Public liability insurance is held.

Good to know
What to expect
Two to four hours of classic rock from the seventies through to the 2010s, picked for the songs people actually know rather than the deep cuts. Requests get played if the band knows them, and there are around 285 songs in the bag, so odds are decent. Ask ahead about a particular song and they'll learn it for the night. Lighting show, break music and PA all come with them. The stated aim is simply keeping the room involved, which is a better goal than most bands set themselves.
On the day
Three separate PA systems travel with the band, sized for small, medium and large rooms, so you get the right one instead of a big rig crammed into a function room. Stage lighting comes too: two stands of four lights a side plus spinning lasers. They carry a sound meter for venues with noise limits. Allow about two hours for setup and sound check, and an hour afterwards to pull it all down.
Performance options
Four sets across four hours is the full night. Three sets over three hours and two over two are the shorter options. Each set runs around 50 minutes, roughly a dozen songs, with about ten minutes between them. If the night runs long and you want more music, extra playing time can be arranged.
