The act
More than 3,000 shows over 30 years is a lot of talking for other people. Darren Carr is an award-winning comedian ventriloquist who's performed at corporate events, conferences, casinos, nightclubs and on cruise ships around the world, for clients including Mercedes-Benz, Westpac, McDonald's, the NRL and the AFL. His usual spot runs 30 minutes and stretches to a full 90 minute show, and he can MC the whole event if you'd rather hand him the microphone for the night. Black tie ball, sports luncheon or private birthday, the format bends to fit. All he needs from you is a decent PA and a well lit stage.

On the day
He needs a professional grade PA with a hand held microphone, and a stage or performance area that's properly lit. Ventriloquism lives or dies on the audience being able to see his face, so the lighting isn't a minor detail.
