What to expect
Twenty years and more than 2,000 gigs behind him, and it shows in how little of the night is left to chance. Dave's list is full of songs people recognise from the first bar, spanning the 60s through to now: Johnny Cash, the Rolling Stones, The Eagles, Paul Kelly, U2, INXS, Springsteen, Coldplay, Ben Harper, Jack Johnson, Ed Sheeran, Harry Styles, Creedence and a long way past that. The loop pedal and stomp box are what make him flexible. He can sit right back for a chilled acoustic afternoon, or build it up until people get out of their chairs.
On the day
He carries a small PA, so all he really needs is a power point and somewhere to stand. Setup takes about 15 minutes and pack-down about 10, which is handy when a venue has a tight turnaround. A covered spot is preferred, purely in case it rains.

Performance options
Dave is flexible about the kind of booking he takes on, and short sets are fine. Aged care homes, cafes, morning slots and market days all sit comfortably alongside the Friday and Saturday night work, and a gig close to home in Tewantin is easier to arrange than one further afield. So if what you have in mind is smaller or earlier than a full evening, it's still worth asking.
