The act
Dinner Suit Boogie is a five piece party band out of Melbourne's soul and jazz scene, and the set jumps eras without apology: The Rolling Stones into Outkast, The Beatles into Dr Dre, Bruno Mars into Elvis. Ryan Ritchie fronts it. The Age called him "as persuasive a rapper as he is a singer, equipped with the rhythmic instincts of a jazz vocalist or beat poet", and he has been musical director for the Melbourne International Fashion Festival and the Australian Grand Prix. Expect improvised rap jams built around your friends' names, sing along moments and a room that stops sitting down. Weddings, functions and house parties that got out of hand.
