The act
Two hours before your guests arrive, DJ Ante is already there, set up and tested, at no extra charge. The Wollongong DJ mixes across pop, hip-hop, EDM, rock and retro classics, working from a music library that gets refreshed every month, and reads the crowd rather than a fixed run sheet. Setup needs come down to two power points; even the table and chair are supplied. Extras can turn the night into a production: a photo booth, a low cloud dance floor effect, even a fireworks display. Holds a Working with Children Check and public liability insurance, and covers events across Wollongong and the surrounding suburbs.

Good to know
What to expect
The job here is reading a room, not working through a fixed order of songs. DJ Ante watches what the floor is doing and picks accordingly, so a slow start gets handled differently to a room that's already up. Approachable is the word that fits. You'll get someone who talks to you before the night rather than turning up as a stranger behind a laptop, and who's happy to be told what your crowd actually likes. Expect a party that builds, and a DJ who's already there and tested long before your first guest walks in.
On the day
Two power points. That's the whole list of what your venue has to provide. Even the table and chair come along, so there's nothing to hire in and nothing to borrow from the function room. Arrival is two hours ahead of the start, at no extra charge, which leaves plenty of room to run everything up and check it properly while the room is still quiet. If something needs shifting or a lead needs running a different way, that's when it gets sorted, not while people are arriving.
Set List
The library is broad and it doesn't sit still. New material gets added every month, so what you hear isn't a collection that stopped being updated years ago. Pop, hip hop, EDM, rock and the retro end all get a run, and the mix on the night depends on who's in front of him. Ask for a particular era or a particular artist and it'll be there.
Performance options
Beyond the DJ set there are add-ons that change the look of the room. A photo booth gives guests something to do between dances. A low cloud effect sits over the dance floor so a first dance looks like it's happening above the ground. And for a proper finish, a fireworks display can be arranged. Take any of them, take all of them, or just take the DJ and keep it simple.
