The act
Over 400 songs in the book, and they reach back further than most duos bother to. Minnie The Moocher sits in there alongside Elvis, Roy Orbison, Del Shannon, Johnny Cash, Creedence, Abba, Cold Chisel and Billy Thorpe. Dons Party have been working Victoria and interstate for more than twenty years, so the room-reading is second nature by now. There's also a Morning Melodies show called Going Back that runs with video presentations, which suits daytime club audiences well. Setup is about as easy as it gets. The duo is self contained and needs a power point, nothing more. Good pick for a function where the crowd spans a few generations and everyone wants to hear something they know.

Good to know
What to expect
Keeping a mixed room happy is harder than it sounds when the ages at a function span forty years. That's what Dons Party are pitched at, and they've been doing it long enough that reading a crowd has stopped being a conscious decision. Everybody gets something they know.
On the day
A power point. That's genuinely it. The duo is fully self contained, so there's no PA to hire, no sound gear to borrow off the venue, and nothing to organise beyond finding them somewhere to plug in.
