The act
Vicky speaks as herself and as Kimmy, the character she plays in the Foxy Hornbags duo, and the two sides of that show up in the talk. She's survived a hard childhood, teenage motherhood and a long list of family estrangements, and she gets laughs out of most of it. There's Zen Buddhist thinking threaded through, and stories from living in remote communities in Tasmania, Far North Queensland and Carnarvon. Vicky is the granddaughter of Indigenous Kanak women from New Caledonia. She holds a psychology degree. Good for after dinner spots, conference headline slots or a workplace session that needs shaking up, and she'll travel most of Australia. One cordless microphone is all she needs.

Good to know
What to expect
Vicky's story has hard parts in it, and she wraps them in humour rather than asking the room to sit in them. Six years sober is part of it. So is realising the Kimmy persona is the love of her life. In between come the remote places she's lived, Carnarvon and Far North Queensland and Tasmania, plus the middle path thinking that got her through. Her grandmothers were Indigenous Kanak women out of New Caledonia, and she carries that lineage into the room. What comes through most is the determination to heal, to learn, and to reposition herself so she helps rather than hinders. Good for an after dinner slot, a conference headline, or a workplace that needs shaking loose.
Performance options
Distance is rarely the obstacle here. Vicky takes bookings across most parts of the country, so a regional conference or a country town dinner is as workable as a city ballroom. The talk itself is the whole product, and it flexes to the slot you have: an after dinner spot, a headline session, or a shorter workplace hit. Tell her the room, the crowd and the length when you enquire, and she'll shape it to fit.
