The act
Old style blues, played the way it was meant to sound. ggdavies works out of Cairns with a set built on Muddy Waters, Elmore James and Tom Waits, plus a stack of original blues written along the way. The festival history backs it up: Cairns Blues Festival in 2010, Yungaburra Folk Festival across 2012 and 2013, Black Mountain three years running from 2014, and stints at Tanks Arts Centre. Roots and blues with the polish left off. If you want a room that feels like a late night bar rather than a wedding reception, this is the sound.
