Good to know
What to expect
Live music written for the age group in front of them, and children between two and ten sing it straight back. Go Seek build shows around a theme, so the songs, the characters and the story all pull in one direction rather than being a string of unrelated bits. They've won awards for their songwriting, including a national songwriting prize for a children's song. The team are trained and hold working with children checks. There's learning threaded through it too, but the kids are too busy to notice.
On the day
Four metres by four is the smallest performance area they can work in, and they'll need power points nearby. Everything else comes with them, sound, props and costumes included. Indoors or out is fine as long as that footprint is clear when they arrive.
Performance options
Shows come themed: sustainability, healthy bodies and bones, a pirate and fairy show, a musical adventure, a party show, a body groove show, plus Christmas, Easter and Halloween versions. Alongside the shows there's face painting, balloon twisting, roving characters and a range of craft workshops, including snow globe making, plaster painting and wooden craft colouring. Pop up funky hair salons run on the Sunshine Coast. Any of it can be combined into one booking, which is what most fetes and centre days end up doing. There's an adult rock band option as well.
