Gordon Matheson is a jazz guitarist first, but the wedding and corporate work has been steady for decades, played on acoustic guitar, with backing tracks behind him or without. He has shared stages with The Seekers, John Farnham, Liza Minnelli and Tina Arena, and sat in the orchestra pit for Hair, Rocky Horror Show and Evita. These days he plays with the Jazz Kings and the Gold Coast Big Band. He teaches as well. Brings his own sound system and needs a power point nearby, and takes session work alongside the function bookings.
