Hamilton Alley are a Newcastle blues and soul band with a habit of rebuilding songs rather than copying them. Back in Black gets a funk treatment. So do Sledgehammer, Dreams and Chain of Fools. Chandelier turns funky, Valerie goes soul, and Stayin' Alive comes out somewhere else entirely. Alongside the reworks are Levitating, Get Lucky, Higher Ground, Long Train Runnin' and Beggin. The multi-part vocal harmonies are the thing that separates them from the usual covers outfit. Live sound is strong and the lighting rig can be set up to suit the room. They also work as a duo or trio. The full band prefers two to two and a half hours to set up. Public liability insurance held.
