The act
Hayden Huynh has been performing Michael Jackson tributes in Sydney since he was eight. He studied drama at Newtown High School of the Performing Arts, then took a Bachelor of Film Production at SAE, which explains the eye for staging. As a Chinese-Australian performer he does the tribute without wigs or makeup, going after the movement, the timing and the energy instead of the costume. All the big Jackson songs are there, and you can pick the set list yourself or let him supply one. Online he's built an audience of more than 4,900 YouTube subscribers and 1.5 million views. Setup is simple: a microphone and a PA. Edited video from the night is yours to keep.

Good to know
What to expect
No wig, no makeup, no attempt at looking like the man. Hayden goes after the movement and the timing instead, and once he starts you stop noticing the difference. He's been performing these songs since childhood, studied drama at Newtown High School of the Performing Arts, then did a film production degree, which shows up in how the show is staged. The hits are all there. You can hand him a set list or leave the choosing to him. Corporate functions, private parties and birthdays all suit it.
On the day
A microphone and a PA is the entire list. He plugs in, checks the sound and the show starts. There's nothing to build and nothing for your venue to hire in.
Performance options
One thing worth knowing about: the performance comes with edited video from the night, put together afterwards and yours to keep. Handy when you want something from the event that outlasts the photos.
