These days it's just him and a guitar, working through Matchbox Twenty, the Beatles, Yellowcard and Ed Sheeran, with Take On Me and Unwell among his favourites to play. The set list keeps growing. He's best in the smaller rooms, pubs and cafes, where laid back and easy listening is the point, and he brings a small mixer, a speaker and a microphone. Bigger venues will need their own PA. The volume sits where a conversation can carry across a table, and the set drifts through familiar things without ever demanding the room's attention. If you want a night that feels warm rather than loud, this is the shape of it.
