The act
Ten years playing to guests on Carnival, Seabourn and Royal Caribbean ships, and now back in Melbourne with regular residencies at the city's best piano bar rooms. Jam the Piano-Man carries over 1,400 songs from more than 400 artists, spanning a century of western popular music, so Beethoven and Bacharach sit on the same list as Bon Jovi and Bruno Mars. It's a one-man interactive show, and it moves with the room, from a big loud singalong down to something quiet enough for cocktails. He supplies his own piano-keyboard, mic and eight channel PA. The song list is updated weekly and sent through on request. He holds a current Working With Children Check.

What to expect
This is a piano bar show run by one bloke, and it lives or dies on reading the room. Jam pitches it high and loud for a crowd that wants to sing, or drops it right back for a cocktail hour. The song list is deep enough that most people get something: over 1,400 songs from more than 400 artists, covering a century of western popular music. He'll do themed sets too, crooners of the twenties through fifties, fifties and sixties rock'n'roll, seventies acoustic and disco, eighties rock and retro pop, nineties pop and dance, or the charts from 2000 onwards. Classical piano training underneath all of it means Beethoven and Bruno Mars are both fair game.
On the day
Jam brings his own piano-keyboard, microphone and stand, and an eight channel PA with a pair of eight inch speakers. So a venue without a house system is no obstacle.
