The act
Brazilian violinist, Sydney based, with a repertoire over 200 songs deep spanning pop, R&B, Latin, classical and Bollywood. Jaque Azevedo works solo, and has done everything from busking on the street to playing shows and private events, and can also join a group, ensemble or band when the project calls for it. Bookings start with a conversation about the day itself, the atmosphere you want and the moments that need music behind them, then the set gets built from there. Requests are welcome. Weddings, proposals, funerals, christenings and shows are all regular work. Amplifiers come along and everything gets set up without needing power or gear from the venue.

Good to know
What to expect
Nothing gets locked in before a conversation. Jaque wants to know what the day looks like, the feeling you're after and which moments need music sitting under them, and the set is built from that. It means the violin lands where it should rather than filling time. Requests are genuinely welcome, so if there's a song attached to the two of you, or to the person you're remembering, bring it up. The repertoire runs past 200 songs across pop, R and B, Latin, classical and Bollywood, so there's a fair chance it's already in there.
On the day
Nothing needed from the venue. Jaque brings her own amplification and sets the whole lot up herself, with no call on your power supply or house gear. Handy for gardens, clifftops and anywhere else without a power point in reach.

Wedding bookings can cover the ceremony, the reception or the party afterwards, or all three. Outside weddings she plays proposals, funerals, christenings, baptisms and shows.
