The act
Stand-up comedy is only half of what John Peacock does. He's headlined in Sydney, Brisbane and Perth, played every major Australian comedy festival and the Edinburgh Fringe, and worked overseas as well. The other half is corporate: after-dinner speaking, MC work, auctioneering, and keynotes on finding a passion, changing careers midway through, and the honest realities of running a small business. He's an award-winning public speaker, a past President of a Chamber of Commerce and of Toastmasters Australia, and he'll work clean when the room needs it. The material comes from a life actually lived: sporting clubs, rugby union, long relationships, decades of self-employment, and a lot of travel. Based in northern NSW, regular around Brisbane and the Gold Coast, and happy to travel further.

Good to know
What to expect
John draws on a life that's actually been lived, so the comedy lands on things people recognise: running your own business, long relationships, sporting clubs, and the steady bewilderment of a world that keeps changing the rules. He lives in Byron Bay and cheerfully admits to looking the part. He can work clean if the room needs it, and he's a thorough MC who'll play it straight when the job calls for straight. What you get is honesty first and gags second, which tends to work better in a corporate room than the other way round.
On the day
Every gig is different and he'd rather work through your expectations properly than hand you a checklist. The basics are a stage or some kind of raised area, a microphone, a spotlight, and the ability to bring the room lights down. Beyond that, he'll assess what your event actually needs when you talk it through.
Performance options
Northern NSW is home, and John Peacock will drive up to three hours in either direction for a booking, which puts Brisbane, the Gold Coast and most of the north coast comfortably inside range. Beyond that he flies, with business class for anything over four hours in the air. Where the gig finishes too late to get home the same night, he asks for accommodation of a decent four star standard with breakfast included. Work out the distance before you enquire and it is easy to sort.
