The act
Two years of classical piano and two of jazz vocal study at WAAPA, then Kat Kinley left for the Victorian hills, then came back three years later. Since then, three months on contract playing solo in cocktail bars and clubs in Japan and another three in the United Arab Emirates. The influences are a proper mix, Stevie and Quincy through to Albert King, Jeff Buckley and Sheryl Crow, with Herbie Hancock and Jimmy Smith at the centre of it. Past work includes pre-show sets for the Michael Jackson concert and for Farnsey and Barnesy. Book Kat solo, or as a three, four or five piece for cocktail parties, weddings, corporate functions and private events.
