The act
Over 800 songs, and Kate Young will take the request. Her voice has a gravelly rock tone that handles soft ballads and pop but really opens up on pub rock, blues and rock and roll. The set roams from Creedence, Tina Turner, AC/DC and Bon Jovi through Roxette, Divinyls and Prince, into Nirvana and 90s nostalgia, out to Amy Shark, Beyonce and Justin Timberlake, with Dolly Parton and Kenny Rogers along the way. She's worked across NSW and Victoria, in the UK and on Carnival Cruises out of the USA. Book her solo, as a duo with Angie Childs or with percussion, as an acoustic trio, or as the party rock band EMPIRE. DJ and MC work too. All equipment and a basic lighting show are included. Wollongong based.

Good to know
What to expect
High energy, and the songs are the ones your guests already know. Kate Young shapes the sound to the room instead of turning up with one fixed show, so an acoustic solo set and a full band night are both on the table and everything in between. Tell her what the evening needs to feel like and she'll build it that way.
On the day
As a soloist she needs barely more than a square metre and a power point. A band is a different story: several power points and a few metres of stage or floor to fit PA, lighting, guitar, bass, drums and vocals. All the equipment can come from the artist, and a basic lighting show is part of that. If you want something bigger on the lighting front, it can be arranged.
Performance options
The line-ups can be combined and shaped around your venue, so a night might start one way and finish another. DJing and MC work can be folded into the same booking, which saves you chasing a second supplier for the gaps between sets.
