Kellys Heroes

The act

Eight players, most of them Brisbane session musicians, plus friends they have been working with since 1999. Kelly's Heroes runs the standard rock and blues line-up of guitars, keys, bass and drums, then adds saxophone and female backing vocals on top, which is what gives the band its size. They have spent those years across private parties, functions and the Brisbane pub circuit. The set list sits mostly in the eighties and nineties, with a handful of current chart songs worked in to keep it moving. If your room needs a big sound rather than a background one, this is that kind of band.
