Kyle Bryant builds a whole band out of one guitar and a loop station. Brisbane born, he strums, drums on the body of the guitar, beatboxes and layers vocal harmonies and a bass line on top, so what starts as a solo acoustic set ends up sounding a lot bigger than one person. The songs run from old classics through to current hits. Weddings and private events across Queensland make up most of the diary, and he's played Island Vibe, 4ZZZ Hidden Treasures and the Tamworth Music Festival. He also DJs, so the ceremony, the canapes and the dance floor can all come from the same booking. Power at the reception is all he needs.

What to expect
One person, two jobs. Kyle plays live for the ceremony and the cocktail hour, then swaps over and DJs the dance floor later, so the whole day's music comes from the same booking. The live sound is bigger than it should be for one man with a guitar: a loop station, a bass guitar effect, vocal harmonies and, genuinely, beatboxing, stacked up into covers of old classics and current hits. He prioritises the songs you actually want to hear, whether that's Motown or something in the charts this month, and he'll take requests. He's also self-sufficient on the night, which quietly makes everyone's job easier.
On the day
There's one thing on the list, and it's power at the reception. That has to be supplied, because the loop station, the amplification and the DJ rig all run off it, and there's no acoustic fallback for the second half of the night. Worth confirming with your venue early rather than discovering an extension lead problem while guests are arriving.
Performance options
Two wedding shapes. The shorter one is three hours of live music covering guest arrival, the aisle song, the signing of the registry, the exit song, and then the canapes or garden party stretch afterwards, with the aisle and exit songs your choice. The longer one runs six hours and carries on through the reception, adding reception live music, your first dance played live, and Kyle switching to DJ with his own lighting system for the rest of the night. Both are built around your song requests rather than a fixed list.
