What to expect
Laura's set list gets built for the event rather than pulled from one fixed list, moving between styles as the day asks. She sings in English, Italian and Spanish, with a bit of French as well, so a song in another language is a fair question to ask. New pieces outside her existing repertoire can be learned with enough notice. And if you're having a rehearsal, tell her early. She'll attend where she can, which matters when a bridal party needs to know exactly which line of the song is their cue to walk.
On the day
Laura brings professional amplification. It runs off mains, so a powerpoint near where she's sitting is the main thing to sort, and there's a smaller battery option for spaces without one. She asks for 45 minutes before the start to set up and sound check, which means the venue has to let her into the space that early. Enough room to sit comfortably with the instrument and gear, and cover overhead if rain is a possibility. Extreme cold is genuinely hard on hands and voice, so an indoor backup is worth having.
