The act
Mark brings rock and funk. Laural brings soul, pop and a bit of folk and country. Together they've been playing for more than ten years across Los Angeles, Australia and New Zealand, and the mix works because neither of them pulls the set too far one way. Covers run from the 70s and 80s through to whatever's charting now, and they'll build a list around your day if you tell them what you want. Vocals and guitar for the live part, then a DJ set if you'd like the evening to turn into a party. They arrive early, set up on their own rug, and have music going before your first guest walks in. A small powered space is all they need, and there's a battery rig if power is awkward.

Good to know
What to expect
It starts before the day does. Laural & Mark talk through what you want the room to sound like, then build the music around that rather than running a stock set. On the day they arrive early enough that the live music is already going as your first guests walk in, which does more for the mood of a room than most people expect. Vocals and guitar across a wide spread of covers, and if the evening needs to turn into a party, they'll shift into a DJ set.
On the day
A small performing space with power, and no stage needed. They bring their own rug and set up so the corner they're playing from looks intentional rather than like gear dumped in a doorway. Allow at least half an hour before the start time for them to set up. And if power is awkward where you want them, they've got a battery system that solves it.
Performance options
Three ways to go. Live acoustic as a duo or a solo. The duo followed by a DJ set, so you get live music early and party mode later in the evening. Or DJ only. Whichever one you pick, the full PA, lighting and microphones come with it, and the DJ options add a booth.
