The act
Lozz Benson leads from behind the kit, singing and drumming at the same time, which is rarer than it sounds and changes how a country band feels on stage. She's a session player first, with credits alongside John Butler Trio, Angus and Julia Stone, Kate Ceberano, Missy Higgins, Jimmy Barnes, Troy Cassar-Daley and The Wiggles, and she was mentored by Keith Urban on The Voice. Her band holds down honky-tonk nights at Jolene's in Sydney. Lineups run from solo, with vocals and acoustic guitar or autoharp, up to a four-piece with pedal steel, and fiddle can be added. The repertoire covers classic and modern country and runs past a hundred songs. She needs power and a rider. The rest she brings.

What to expect
Lozz Benson leads from behind the kit, singing and drumming at once, which changes the feel of a country band and is a lot harder than she makes it look. She picks the musicians herself from the session players she works with. Line-ups run solo with vocals and acoustic guitar or autoharp, a trio of drums, bass and electric guitar, or a four-piece adding pedal steel, with fiddle available on top. Three to four sets, pitched wherever you need them: country and blues sitting behind the conversation, classic and modern hits through the middle, or the danceable end of things once the floor opens. Requests welcome.
Performance options
You choose the shape and the rest follows. A duo, a trio or the full band, staffed with session musicians Lozz Benson picks herself, and she's on drums and vocals in every version of it. The set list gets put together for your event specifically, so it can sit low as background country and blues, run through the classics, or push into the danceable material for a party. The band arrives rehearsed and dressed for the room. Extra sets, custom arrangements, music playing between sets and specific song requests can all be arranged, and a PA can be brought in if your venue has no sound system of its own.
