Lucy Crane grew up in Quirindi in country New South Wales and now lives on the Gold Coast, and you can hear both places in the songs. Her father was a musician, which is where it started. The writing is soft-edged acoustic, guitar and lyric doing most of the work, and she plays her own material alongside covers of songs people know, reshaped enough to sound like hers.
