The act
Two people, one clear job: hold the room without shouting over it. This Brisbane duo comes as female vocals with keys, or female vocals with guitar, and the shape of the night is usually the same idea. Relaxed and easy while guests arrive and eat, then a lift into the feel good songs toward the end. Up to four fifty-minute sets, drawn from pop, top 40, classic rock, eighties, R&B and jazz, with recorded music covering the gaps between sets so the room never falls silent. Sound and PA are provided, along with a proper sound check for the space, stage lighting, and extra microphones for speeches. Weddings, conferences, networking nights and private parties are the regular ground. Saxophone or drums can be added if you want something closer to a band.

Good to know
What to expect
Two performers, and the shape is either female vocals with keys or female vocals with guitar. Up to four fifty minute sets across the night, drawn from pop, top 40, classic rock, eighties, RnB and jazz. The useful part is what happens between sets: recorded music keeps playing, so the room never drops into that awkward silence while performers get a drink. A sound engineer and full PA come with the booking, along with stage lighting. If you'd rather it built up slowly, they'll keep it relaxed through arrivals and dinner and lift into the feel good material later.
On the day
Sound and PA are provided, and a full sound check is run in the room before anything starts rather than levels being guessed at from the last venue. Stage lighting comes with it. Extra microphones are provided for speeches, which saves you chasing your venue for one on the day. All equipment is tested and tagged. If the space is unusual, tricky or outdoors, mention it when you enquire so the right rig turns up.
Performance options
For a corporate night you get the PA set up with a full sound check, up to four fifty minute sets, recorded tracks between them so there's no dead air, and spare microphones for speeches. Weddings split into three parts you can book separately or together. Ceremony covers live music as guests arrive, your chosen songs learnt for the aisle, the signing and the recession, then music as everyone leaves. Canapes and cocktail hour is lighter material while people mingle. The reception is the full setup again, with your first dance, entrance and cake songs learnt properly beforehand. Saxophone or drums can be added.
