The act
The Going Back Show is live music with the rest of the era attached. Mark and Don play the songs, then bring in the television memories, the old advertisements, the trivia and the audience banter that goes with them, covering the fifties through to the eighties. Their repertoire runs to nearly 500 songs, from Minnie the Moocher in the thirties through Elvis, The Beatles, Roy Orbison, Creedence, Cold Chisel, Abba, John Farnham and Billy Thorpe. You can book it as audio only, or with video, anywhere from one to three hours. There's a Christmas show too, and other themes on request. It's a regular at retirement villages, Probus clubs, U3A groups, RSLs and private functions. They're self contained. All they need is power.

Good to know
What to expect
It's live music with everything else from the era bolted on. Mark and Don play the songs, then bring in the television memories, the old ads and the trivia that sat alongside them, and they get the room talking back. Fifties through to the eighties. The Going Back Show works as audio only, or with vision on a screen, and there's a lot of laughing and singing along in it. Good fun for a crowd who lived through it, and honestly it holds up for people who didn't.
On the day
They're fully self contained, so the only thing they need from you is access to power. Everything else arrives with them.
Performance options
The Going Back Show runs anywhere from one hour to three, and you choose whether it's audio only or audio with video. There's also a Christmas version for end of year functions. Other themes can sometimes be put together if you've got something particular in mind, so it's worth asking.
