The act
Shearing songs, Slim Dusty, and AC/DC, all in the same set. ME 'N ME MATES play Australian folk and country, traditional and original, and stitch the songs together with yarns. Pub With No Beer, And The Band Played Waltzing Matilda, Diamantina Drover, The Drover's Boy, Home Among The Gumtrees, Poor Ned, plenty of comic material alongside the classics. They tour regularly across South Australia, Victoria and New South Wales, playing everything from agricultural shows to arts centres to pubs, and have appeared at the National Folk Festival and Tamworth Country Music Festival among hundreds of others. The whole show is G rated and the format bends to the venue, so a room of kids and grandparents both get something out of it. Bring a suitable PA or the band can supply one.

Good to know
What to expect
Australian folk and country, traditional songs alongside original ones, stitched together with yarns between numbers. That combination is the thing that sets the show apart. It is lively work and the band puts real energy behind it, but the material stays G rated throughout, so nobody has to think about who is in the audience. They tour regularly across South Australia, Victoria and New South Wales, and the show has fitted rooms as different as agricultural showgrounds, arts centres and pubs. Festival credits include the National Folk Festival and Tamworth Country Music Festival, with hundreds of others behind them.
