The act
MJ turned professional at 17, touring the West Coast on a government sponsored trip, and while she was overseas the BBC gave her airplay and a talent search put her third. Perth has been home base since. She has fronted jazz, pop and rock outfits, worked acoustic and tribute shows, and shared stages with Johnny Young. Elsewhere on the resume: supporting Shannon Noll, singing with Bachelor Girl, an appearance on Telethon, and dates with Perth Symphony Orchestra. Crown Perth, the Quarry Amphitheatre and Optus Stadium are all on the venue list, and she has performed at NRL State of Origin. Book her as a duo, a trio or a full band depending on the size of the room. Vocal versatility is the thing here, and so is being easy to deal with in the lead-up.
