The act
Snowboarding wasn't always allowed on the mountain. Paul Graves was there for the fight, and his keynote is the story of how the sport started, how it got pushed back against, and what it took to make snowboards legal on the ranges. He plays exclusive original footage through the talk, so it isn't slides and anecdotes. The themes he draws out are passion, determination, and the strategies it takes to build not just a sport but an entire industry around it. Paul also works as an MC, and when he does he'll talk the format through with the organiser, collect the speaker bios, and meet each speaker before the event. Based at Avoca Beach on the NSW Central Coast. He needs a wireless headset or lapel mic and access to video and sound.

What to expect
Paul Graves tells the story of snowboarding's early years, the triumphs and the knockbacks both, and pulls out the passion, determination and strategy it took to build a sport and then an industry around it. Exclusive original footage plays through the talk, so the audience watches the history as well as hearing it. He is available for consultation ahead of the conference to get across your organisation's themes and vision. Book him as an MC instead and he will talk the format through with you, gather the speaker bios, then meet each speaker briefly by phone before the day.
On the day
He works with a wireless headset or a lapel microphone, whichever you have. He also needs access to video and sound so the original footage can be played through the talk. AV is not part of the booking, so arrange it with your venue.
