What to expect
Two lead voices out front, Jeunesse and Matty Bateson, and that changes what a night can cover. Ness has been singing live since she was nine and moves from a sweet ballad to full rock without dropping anything. Matty holds the baritone and the backing vocals, plays lead and rhythm guitar, and does most of the talking between songs. Behind them sits the rhythm section. Top 40, pop, rock, classics, funk, reggae, country, folk and touches of jazz and blues. They dress to suit the occasion, and where noise limits apply an electric kit goes on instead of the acoustic one. Their gig history runs from the Story Bridge Hotel and Sirromet Winery to Hamilton Island and Singapore.
On the day
Give them a stage or a clear patch of floor, four metres across and three deep at minimum. Sound production and stage lighting can come from the band if your venue doesn't have its own, so mention what's already installed when you enquire and they'll fill the gaps.
