Shanti sings, Ray plays guitar, and between them they turn a Sunday session or a wedding reception into something you can actually talk over. Stripped back acoustic covers, done their own way, from a Perth duo with a long list to pick from: Shallow, Hallelujah, A Thousand Years, All Of Me, Riptide territory alongside Crowded House, Post Malone and Lana Del Rey. You choose from the set list, and they're happy to learn one special song for the day. They bring everything, PA included, which handles a room of 200 to 300 at wedding volume, and they need about half an hour, two stools and a power point. The playing area has to be undercover if rain's a chance.

Good to know
What to expect
Acoustic covers, stripped back and played their own way, from a Sunday session through to a wedding. The aim is relaxed rather than loud, music that fills the room without shouting over the top of it. You get to choose what they play from a set list they keep current, and if there's one song that has to happen on the day, they'll learn it for you.
On the day
The PA is theirs, and it comfortably handles two to three hundred people at wedding volume. Guitar, microphones, speakers, all of it turns up with them. Half an hour is usually enough to set up and run a sound check. Two chairs or stools and a power supply are what they need from your side. One thing to sort early: if there's any chance of rain, the performance area has to be under cover, because the gear can't get wet. Lighting is the only thing they don't carry, so arrange that separately if you want it.
Performance options
Three sets, forty minutes each, is the shape Ray and Shanti work to. That carries a reception from the first drink all the way to the hour when everyone stops pretending they won't dance, and the breaks between sets fall where the speeches and the meal need them. They travel out from Perth for it. Book them further afield and the arrangement still holds, the run of the night doesn't change with the distance.
