Rod James has played hundreds of venues around Australia, at weddings, engagements and birthdays, and as a solo headline act on his own live shows. The repertoire moves between old and new to match the feel of the night, drawing on acoustic and folk material alongside pop and rock. Songs include Georgia, Perfect, Harvest Moon, Yellow, Wonderwall, Can't Help Falling in Love, A Thousand Years, Shallow, Heroes, The Night We Met and Thinking Out Loud. For bigger receptions and party functions he can expand into a backing band of two electric guitarists, an acoustic guitarist, bass, piano and drums. Sound and lighting are supplied. Melbourne based.

The professional sound and lighting come as part of it, which means the room looks and sounds like a proper gig rather than a bloke with a guitar in the corner.
On the day
Rod arrives with the full professional sound rig and the lighting, so your venue doesn't need a house system or anything hired in. Give him a spot to set up in and a way to reach power, and the rest is handled.
Performance options
Solo is the core booking: one voice, one guitar, sound and lights included. For a reception or a bigger party function Rod can expand behind himself with a backing band, two electric guitarists, an acoustic guitarist, bass, piano and drums, which turns the same repertoire into something with real weight on the dance floor.
