Sarah Manovski has sung to crowds of 50,000 and to a room of thirty, and reckons the second one is the harder job. She's a singer, songwriter and pianist with over 15 years of professional work across Europe, the UK, the US and Australia, including television broadcasts reaching more than nine million viewers and writing and vocal credits on pop and dance releases that have gone Gold and Platinum. Live, the setting is quieter than that CV suggests. Voice and piano, soulful and unhurried, turning almost any song you name into an acoustic ballad. Elvis, Adele, Norah Jones, Alicia Keys, John Legend. She brings her own electric piano, PA and mic, or plays the venue's, and can add ambient lighting. Adelaide based.

Good to know
What to expect
Voice and piano, and not much else in the way of noise. Sarah Manovski takes a song you already love and slows it into an acoustic ballad, which suits a ceremony, a reception, and the quieter gaps between the two. She's played to stadium crowds and to rooms of thirty, so reading which one she's in comes easily. Her training means new material gets learned fast, so a song that matters to your family can be worked up rather than ruled out. Expect something soft and unhurried that lets guests settle rather than shout over it.
On the day
A small undercover spot is the main thing. Her electric piano, microphone, PA and mixing desk all need to sit somewhere dry, and if the forecast turns, the performance area has to be covered. A standard power point nearby is essential. She'll bring her own gear, or play a piano and sound system the venue already has, whichever makes more sense for your room. Ambient lighting can come along too if the setting wants it.
Performance options
There's a ceremony option covering the walk down the aisle and roughly five to ten songs, which is enough to carry guests arriving, the entrance and the signing. A two hour reception set is the other standard shape, good for dinner and the part of the evening before things get loud. Book them together and the whole day is handled by one performer, which keeps the sound consistent from the aisle through to the toasts.
