Souled
The act
Souled came together in Brisbane in 2020 out of local jam nights, five musicians who kept turning up for the same reason. None of them could get enough soul, funk and disco. The result is a group that runs medleys rather than a straight song after song list, with layered harmonies over the top and a bit of theatre in the way they hold a stage. Marvin Gaye, Billy Joel, the Blues Brothers catalogue, Spice Girls, Rihanna and Dua Lipa all show up, so the range covers the 60s through to now. It's a full, thick sound for a five piece. Outdoors they'll want shade and cover from rain.
