The act
Celtic fiddle done properly, by four players working the Hunter Valley, Newcastle and Sydney. String Loaded specialise in wedding ceremony music, acoustic violin and guitar, and they've been at it long enough to know how a ceremony actually runs. A full show is a different thing again: Irish and Scottish fiddle tunes, Irish songs, bluegrass, with storytelling and dancing worked through it. You'll recognise Danny Boy, Toss the Feathers, Marie's Wedding, Whisky in the Jar, I'll Tell Me Ma, and The Devil Went Down to Georgia turns up more often than not. Ask them to learn a tune that matters to your family and they will. Self sufficient for private parties and weddings, PA and staging included. Insured.

What to expect
It never settles into one long recital, which is the trap Celtic shows fall into. Traditional Irish and Scottish fiddle tunes from four players, Irish songs and bluegrass, with storytelling and dancing threaded between them. You'll know more of it than you'd think: Danny Boy, Toss the Feathers, Marie's Wedding, Whisky in the Jar, I'll Tell Me Ma, the Chicken Reel, and The Devil Went Down to Georgia. Wedding ceremonies are a speciality, with the Celtic material shaped for the walk in and the signing.
On the day
Private parties and weddings need nothing from you on the technical side. The band brings its own PA and staging and gets on with it. Festivals are the exception, since you're running the sound: four DIs and four microphones from the house rig, plus a stool for the guitarist.
Performance options
Wedding ceremonies and receptions are the regular work, and they're two different bookings with different music behind them. Beyond that: Irish or Scottish themed parties, house parties, folk festivals, and Irish and Scottish festival sets. Say which one yours is and the set gets built accordingly.
