The act
Sue Moxon writes and plays original instrumental music on a shelf of instruments most events never hear: piano, cello, hang and handpan, kalimba, classical guitar and Native American flute. The moods shift across a set, which is the point of it. Based in Maleny, so the Sunshine Coast hinterland and the wider south-east Queensland run are the home patch. Small indoor rooms are covered for sound. Anything larger, or outdoors, and the venue supplies the PA and mixer, plus cover from the weather for the instruments.

Good to know
On the day
There are really only two considerations. If the performance is outside, the instruments need shelter from sun and rain, because a handpan, a cello and a wooden flute all object to weather in their own ways. And sound depends on the size of the room. Small indoor settings are covered: Sue brings her own microphones, amp and mixer. For a medium or large space, or anywhere outdoors, the venue supplies the sound system and someone to run it.
